The fight against violence against women is a matter of company
Tunisia is a country that embodies the model of the emancipated woman. Women enjoy great freedom. Tunisian women circulate freely. The rights of women are sacred acquired. It does not return it. They are embedded in the Constitution. No one dares to flout. Tunisian women have the same rights as those in the West. Protected by law, the Tunisian woman was actually released from the grip of man. Polygamy, repudiation is prohibited. The debate on these subjects is obsolete. Tunisia has closed the parenthesis for decades. The Code of Personal Status, the right to vote, the law on sexual harassment are the guarantees that provide a thick blanket in Tunisian women. Its status gives it a special place in the Arab-Muslim world. A finding confirmed in October 2010 at the 3rd Congress of the United of Arab Women, chaired by Mrs. Leila Ben Ali.
Despite the force of law, the male has trouble admitting certain conditions and behaviors. Men feel a bit overwhelmed by the women's liberation, and see a kind of insult to their manhood. This explains in part the phenomenon of violence against women. Here is part
implementation by Tunisia of a national strategy against violence against women. At this congress, the First Lady of Tunisia called on Arab countries to the implementation of statistical studies to reflect the reality and magnitude of the phenomenon. The goal is to "break the wall of silence" by encouraging women to report this phenomenon.
